Matheus Manente is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Brazil, a columnist on several websites, works with audio recording, mixing, mastering and production, and has experience with computer music and programming. Matheus began playing the acoustic guitar at an early age — years later, he developed interest for many other instruments, such as bass, drums, keyboards, kalimbas, and extended range electric guitars, studying with many teachers and becoming a composer and producer. Matheus has worked mostly as a freelancer musician – either playing live with bands or recording and producing music.
His first release happened in 2008, after being invited to submit a track for a game music remix compilation through MySpace. Since then, he worked on tens of albums, having the oportunity to record with musicians from different countries and styles, develop soundtracks and produce / record many bands in his studio. Matheus also taught practical and theoretical classes at local music schools for six years.
In 2013, the Time Machinery project was born as a collaboration between Matheus and Andrey Sazonov from Russia, as well as various musicians from around the globe. In 2014, Matheus self-released his first solo album, Illusions Dimension, which englobes all his songwriting influences in almost 2 hours of instrumental progressive music.
Currently, Matheus is working with many different bands and projects, such as Hours at Hand, Chris Violence, Alvenaria, Sirius, Leandro Fonseca and many more, both recording music and playing live. He is also developing further solo work. Matheus has a degree in atmospheric sciences and works as an entrepeneur, just to be sure he doesn’t go bankrupt for creating radio-unfriendly music.
